چکیده
Abstract. Secondary organic aerosol (SOA), formed through oxidation of volatile compounds (VOCs), displays complex viscosity and phase behaviors influenced by temperature, relative humidity (RH), chemical composition. Here, the efficacy a multi-stage electrical low-pressure impactor (ELPI) for indirect water uptake measurements was studied ammonium sulfate (AS) aerosol, sucrose ?-pinene-derived SOA. All three systems were subjected to greater than 90 % chamber humidity, with subsequent analysis indicating persistence particle bounce 70 nm (initial dry diameter) SOA number geometric mean diameters between 39 136 diameter). On other hand, 190 AS down exhibited no at elevated RH. Partial drying within lower diameter ELPI impaction stages, where inherent significant RH reductions occur, is proposed as one explanation persistence.

Particle Size Distributions of Particulate Emissions from the Ferroalloy Industry Evaluated by Electrical Low Pressure Impactor (ELPI)
The present article presents a comprehensive evaluation of the potential use of an Electrical Low Pressure Impactor (ELPI) in the ferroalloy industry with respect to indoor air quality and fugitive emission control. The ELPI was used to assess particulate emission properties, particularly of the fine particles (Dp ≤ 1 μm), which in turn may enable more satisfactory risk assessments for the indo...

متن کاملFour-probe electrical measurements with a liquid pressure medium in a diamond anvil cell.
We describe a technique for making electrical transport measurements in a diamond anvil cell using an alcohol pressure medium, permitting acute sensitivity while preserving sample fidelity. The sample is suspended in the liquid medium by four gold leads that are electrically isolated by a composite gasket made of stainless steel and an alumina-loaded epoxy. We demonstrate the technique with fou...

Abstract. The article describes results of experimental study of a plasma jet with the use of electric probes. The volt-ampere probe characteristics were determined from measurements with slowly varying biasing potential in the probe circuit. Plasma floating potential and plasma resistance in different positions in the vicinity of plasma jet were determined for various pressures of ambient atmo...
